Holidaying in Warwickshire

Ah. Holiday after wedding holiday. We arrived back from the Brooklyn event last Wednesday morning, did a bit of laundry and then set out the next morning. We caught up with Bones at Norton Junction just after lunch, then all decided to stay put and relax until the next morning. We went through Braunston, stopping for a studio and shop visit, then moored in the middle of nowhere for the night.

On Friday, we went through Wigrams turn onto the Grand Union west, glided down through the Stockton flight and had a lovely mooring at the Blue Lias pub. Good thing. Soon after we stopped the rain hit! Sunday we thought we'd stay put for the morning downpour, then set off just after lunch. A dry run of a few hours left us at Welsh Road lock, moored up just before the next shower.

This morning we set out in the dry window to Warwick. We arrived in good timing for a bit of shopping, a pub visit, a grocery visit, then just inside the boat before the downfall. We are happily at Saltisford Arm, a wonderful temporary home many times. So much work has been done and it looks amazing!
